Today we focused on ‘’Quiana’s first thoughts’’ and deeper research into the alparaghata sandal.
1. Braindump Let’s gather inspiration regarding the slippers, the history, the origin, similair modern references etc. (and put them all into Miro)
2. Initial Generated Images Let’s generate/blend some of the moodboard images into different/modern ‘’shoes’’ - maybe those images will inspire something (else)/a concept.

BRAINDUMP PROCESS/NEXT MEETING (11.01 @6PM)
- Quiana will update the Miro with her previous research, we all will update it with thoughts, more images and help iterate /concept by experimenting. Putting the ‘’no thoughts’’ in ‘’just vibes’’. We know we want to do something with the shoe, but what that exactly is, is not sure yet (maybe that’s the point too?).

Today we focused on ‘’problems’’ that arise for us as creatives such as:
1. Braindump Let’s gather inspiration regarding the slippers, the history, the origin, similair modern references etc. (and put them all into Miro, Link TBA).
2. Initial Sketch Quiana Presents initial sketches (very rough, can be 1 sentence idea’s or just moodboards) and we go through it. In this meeting we’ll start to form prompts that we could use to generate with in the next session.
SKETCHING AS CREATIVES
- Why do we want every sketch to be good, fast, well-branded, insightful? How can we design something that enforces fleeting thoughts? like the fleeting sketch again? REFERENCE, THE MAGNETIC DRAWING BOARD.
- Why do creatives forget to hydrate themselves during flow states? How can design help?
‘’IF THE SHOE FITS’’
- Quiana shared her working doc for AIDEA, in which we really liked the rubber shoe/slipper design: alparaghata sandals. For the following weeks, we will focus on those slippers as a starting point. Who knows, maybe we end up with a hat.
We will focus on: Iterating shape, form, material and concept. Where does it come from, why is the designed shaped as it is, which material is it made in and what could be a modern interpretation?
